The Parnassus Symphony presents one of the classics of the symphonic canon, Beethoven's 9th Symphony. The Parnassus, conducted by San Francisco Symphony player Stephen Paulson, is "The best of the Bay Area's community musicians," according to the San Francisco Symphony's Michael Tilson Thomas. The program also includes Beethoven's Piano Concerto #1.

After the event, we will go out for coffee or a drink at a local restaurant or cafe.

Tickets available for $15 and $20 here. There are two performance dates -- be sure to buy your tickets for Jun 8, not Jun 7. Total cost of the event can be less than $20 including tickets and coffee.

    Fairly good performance for the price and well balanced and warm acoustics for this hall.

Who attended?

    • “ The music was inspirational, as one would expect from Beethoven. ”
    • “ I really can't complain much for the price we paid and of course, I have to take into consideration that these are amateur volunteers who just love music. There were some glitches here and there, but the finale in Symphony NO.9 was well done. The chorus was absolutely beautiful. ”
